Crispy Baked Parmesan Garlic Edamame Recipe

Crispy Baked Parmesan Garlic Edamame is a delicious sweet/salty high-protein healthy snack.

Ingredients

1 (12 oz) package frozen shelled edamame, thawed

  • 2 tablespoons garlic olive oil
  • ¼ cup Parmesan cheese, grated
  • ¼ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ¼ teaspoon onion powder
  • ¼ teaspoon chili lime seasoning (I get this at Trader Joe’s)
  • 1 pinch salt and black pepper to taste

Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F.
  2. In a medium size bowl, toss the edamame with the garlic olive oil to coat completely. In a separate small bowl, mix together the Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, onion powder and chili lime seasoning with the salt and pepper. Add the Parmesan mixture to the edamame mixture and toss.
  3. Spread the edamame on a rimmed baking sheet and bake about 10 to15 minutes, turning once halfway through, until the cheese begins to brown. Store in an airtight container and enjoy!

Georgia Pre-k News

Georgia PreK is off to a GREAT start. Here are some things that parents can work on at home to help ensure their child is socially, emotionally, and academically successful:

  1. Encourage children to dress, zip, tie, and button their clothes.
  2. Less screen time (tv, movies, computers, game systems, iPad, kindles) to no more than 1 hour throughout the day.
  3. Encourage more gross/large motor skills. Get out and play a game of volleyball, kickball, go for a walk, basketball, and even the park.
  4. Make healthier eating choices at home by setting a good example and encouraging your children to make healthy eating choices at school.
  5. Arrive to school on time and no early dismissals without a doctor’s note.
